How much does a website cost in the US?

A business website in the US costs from roughly $15 a month if you build it yourself on a platform, $249 for a focused professional page at P2L and from $499 with Google setup and measurement. At agencies, based on ranges observed in October 2026, it runs $800 to $10,000 or more. Scope, not design, sets the price.

01

Four ways to get a website, four prices.

Before comparing quotes, place what you are buying. Each option solves a different problem and charges for different things.

01

Build it yourself on a platform

Wix, Squarespace or Shopify charge a monthly plan that, as a general estimate, runs about $15–$50 depending on the plan, plus your time. You pick the template, write the copy in both languages, connect Google and measure. It works if you have the time and can sell in writing.

02

Focused professional page

One page built for your business to present it, explain a service and take calls, WhatsApp messages or forms from a phone. At P2L it costs $249, with a first draft within 24 hours of receiving your materials and ready within 7 days.

03

Digital presence

The page plus what makes Google find it and tells you whether it works: search research, Search Console, sitemap, an indexing request, technical and local SEO, measurement of calls, WhatsApp clicks and forms, and 30 days of follow-up. At P2L it starts at $499.

04

Agency or custom build

Several pages per service and city, original copywriting and features such as a catalog or booking. Based on ranges observed in October 2026 across DFW agencies, a small site runs $800–$2,500 and a custom one $3,000–$10,000 or more. It makes sense when every page answers a real search.

Custom design, mobile version, a contact path by call, WhatsApp or form, on-page SEO basics, image optimization, one revision round and publishing. First draft within 24 hours of receiving your materials, ready within 7 days.

02

Digital presence (P2L): from $499

Everything above plus an initial diagnosis, search research, Search Console and sitemap, an indexing request, technical and local SEO, measurement of calls, WhatsApp clicks and forms, and 30 days of follow-up.

03

Small site from a local agency: $800–$2,500

Market range observed in October 2026 for 3–5 page template sites using the client’s own copy. Hosting, domain and post-launch changes are usually billed separately.

04

Custom multi-page site: $3,000–$10,000+

Market range observed in October 2026 for sites with original design, copywriting, pages per service and city, and features such as booking or a catalog. It makes sense when every page answers a real search.

What you pay every year even if nothing changes.

Building the site is only part of the cost. Ask in writing which of these stay in your name and which the provider bills.

01

Domain

A .com usually costs $10–$20 a year, as a general estimate. It should be registered in your name with your own access; if the provider owns your domain, they own your address on the internet.

02

Hosting or platform

A small site can cost $0–$30 a month depending on where it lives. A store on Shopify or similar carries its own monthly plan and per-sale fees depending on the plan and payment method.

03

Email on your domain

An address like hello@yourbusiness.com builds more trust than a free one. Some services charge per user per month and others simply forward to your current inbox at no cost.

04

Changes after launch

New prices, photos, hours or another service. Ask what each change costs, how fast it is done and whether you can make it yourself from your phone.

04

What raises the price and when it is worth it.

None of these is a luxury if your customers use it. All of them are waste if nobody needs them.

01

Two languages

Writing natively in English and Spanish, each language at its own address, opens searches that one-language competitors never see. P2L does not bill it as a separate site; some agencies do, so ask.

02

Online store

Catalog, cart, payments, shipping and taxes. It is quoted by product count and by who loads them. It pays off when you already sell and customers ask to buy without messaging you.

03

Booking with deposits

A calendar where the customer picks a service and a time and leaves a deposit cuts no-shows. It is quoted by services, rules and payment method. It pays off when appointments are your business.

04

Copy, photos and real proof

Photos of your work, reviews and case studies persuade more than stock images. If you have no copy, someone has to write it; that is part of the price and the proposal should say so.

05

Frequently asked questions.

The questions we hear most often about this topic, answered briefly.

01

How much does a business website cost in the US?

From roughly $15 a month if you build it yourself on a platform, $249 for a focused professional page at P2L and from $499 with Google setup and measurement. At agencies, based on ranges observed in October 2026, a small site runs $800–$2,500 and a custom one $3,000–$10,000 or more.

02

Is it cheaper to build it myself?

In cash, at first, yes: you pay the platform plan and your own time. What is not included is copy that sells, Spanish written properly, the Google connection and measurement. If your time is worth more serving customers, a page built for you often costs less overall.

03

What do I pay every year after launch?

Domain and hosting are the fixed costs: a .com usually runs $10–$20 a year and hosting for a small site $0–$30 a month, as a general estimate. A store adds the platform plan and per-sale fees. Ask in writing what post-launch changes cost.

04

How much does an online store or booking system cost?

It depends on how many products, services, payments and integrations it needs, so at P2L they are quoted in writing and never sold at the price of a single page. Always ask the proposal to list products, payments, shipping or deposits and who loads the catalog.

05

Does a more expensive website rank higher on Google?

Not because of the price. Google rewards the page that best answers the search, loads fast on a phone and is connected to Search Console and a consistent business profile. Nobody can guarantee first place; anyone who promises it is a warning sign.
