The challenge

Whoever hires a norteño band wants to hear it, see it fill a dance floor and ask for a price in the same minute, and Estado Norteño had no place where all of that happened.

Estado Norteño is a norteño band with sax from Fort Worth, Texas: bajo quinto and vocals, accordion, saxophone, drums and electric bass. They play weddings, quinceañeras, birthdays and dances in event halls, backyards and rodeos. Their customers are families planning a party, plus promoters and venues that need to advertise the band.

Before this project the band had no website. Online there was one official video on YouTube, Solo Sin Ti, three songs on Spotify and an Instagram account with no posts yet. Anyone who wanted to hire them had no single place to hear them, watch them play live and send the date of their event. When we looked at the genre we saw the same gap: big acts have merch and ticket stores but no way to book them, and most local bands live only on social media and directories.

That mattered because an event band gets hired for how it sounds and for how full the dance floor gets. If a person cannot hear the band or message it right then, they keep looking. And the only material available at the start was the official video and the logo, so the whole site had to be built from that.

  • Music sector research
  • Five-page site with its own design
  • Playable bajo quinto with sound generated on the page
  • Clip editing from the official video and the band's own videos
  • Spotify and official video inside the page
  • WhatsApp, text, call, QR code and guided form
  • Download kit for promoters
  • Domain, launch and Google Search Console setup

What we did

Step by step, from the problem to the published page.

  1. 01

We reviewed sites of big and local bands to see what actually works for booking: WhatsApp with the message already written, video as proof and a promoter sheet at a fixed address.

  2. 02

We also reviewed the sites P2L had already built. None of them used sound, so the core idea became a page you can play like a bajo quinto.

  3. 03

From the official video we pulled the clip of each musician, the opening shot and the sunset for the closing section, plus the color palette: whitewash, turquoise and wine.

  4. 04

We connected the band's number to WhatsApp, text message, a call button and a QR code, and built a form that writes the quote request for the person.

  5. 05

We tried redrawing the logo as a vector. It looked worse than the original, so we used the original and later swapped in the clean version from the band's business card.

  6. 06

We registered estadonorteno.com and connected it to the site with a secure padlock. The www address leads to the same page.

  7. 07

With the videos the band recorded at its own gigs we built the Work page. We kept the sharpest shots, dropped the blurry ones and featured the dance floor filling up, filmed from the stage.

  8. 08

We registered the site in Google Search Console and submitted the sitemap with all five pages.

Page by page

  1. 01

    Home: opening

The home page opens on the soundhole of a bajo quinto with ten strings across the screen. Run a finger or the cursor over them and they ring, tuned like the real instrument, and a button turns the sound off. As you scroll, the soundhole opens until the band's video fills the screen. From the first second there are two buttons: Book and Listen.

  2. 02

    Home: Five musicians, one bellows

Five strips, one per musician: bajo quinto and vocals, accordion, saxophone, drums and electric bass. Tap a strip and it opens to play that musician's clip. The customer sees who will play at their party.

  3. 03

    Home: Empty floor. Full floor.

A photo of the empty dance floor and one of the same floor packed, taken from the stage in a single take. The visitor drags a slider to move between them. It is the most direct proof of what the band does, and it leads to the Work page. The home page ends over a sunset with the Book button.

  4. 04

    Work

Real videos from their gigs: backyard parties, a rodeo and a studio session. The centerpiece is an event hall dance floor that fills up in five and a half minutes, sped up 25 times, with a clock showing the real time. Each video starts muted with a Hear it live button, and only one plays sound at a time. The page ends by asking for the date and place on WhatsApp.

  5. 05

    Music

The three 2025 singles, Solo sin Ti, Te vas arrepentir and Un sueño, with cover art, length and links to Spotify and YouTube. The Listen here button opens the Spotify player inside the page, and the official Solo Sin Ti video plays right there. Both players load only when the person asks for them, so the page opens fast.

  6. 06

    Contact

Four ways to start: WhatsApp, text message, a call and a QR code that opens WhatsApp. Next to them, a guided form asks for event type, date, hours of music, city and name, then opens WhatsApp with the message already written. It does not allow past dates, flags what is missing and the page does not store the data.

  7. 07

    Promoters

A sheet for promoters and venues: format, instruments, genre and releases. Below it, four high-resolution photos and the logo in two versions to download. Anyone advertising a dance has everything without asking by message.

  8. 08

Header and footer, on every page

The header links to Work, Music and Contact, and the Book button is always in view and opens WhatsApp. The footer links Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, the Promoters page and the band's phone.
